Every tile leaves the same bench in Guangzhou. Cut, layered, engraved and filled by hand — then counted twice before it goes in the box.
Most sets are printed and lacquered over. We cut the motif into the acrylic and fill it by hand, so the pattern sits inside the tile instead of on top of it — and stays there through years of shuffling.
Both run on the same line. Acrylic is the premium choice — deeper colour, glass-cold in the hand, and it holds fine engraved detail. Melamine is the workhorse: heavier, warmer, closer to the tile your grandmother played with.
